Are Your Heart Arteries Blocked?
Blue is Bad.
HEART DISEASE IS THE #1 KILLER FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN
OptiLive providers have performed consultations and heart scans for hundreds of happy patients and found that over 90% have heart disease. The question is how much and guiding them on treatment to prevent a heart attack.
CCTA CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE
We quickly report results for your non-invasive CCTA scan. Life-saving insights will be clearly communicated to you from our expert providers.
Don’t Become Another Heartbreaking Statistic
50%
of people who suffer a heart attack will do so without experiencing symptoms.
70%
of heart attack victims are considered low risk by traditional methods of assessing heart disease.
75%
of lesions that are responsible for heart attacks only cause mild narrowing of the arteries and are missed by conventional stress testing.

What to Expect with the OptiLive Heart Health Assessment
-
Choose the Start Your Journey button and you will be asked to schedule an initial $25 consultation with one of our OptiLive providers.
-
This is a telehealth session, typically lasting 5-10 minutes, to review the process, answer questions, be sure there are no reasons to avoid the procedure and to confirm your interest in proceeding. If you decide not to proceed there is no further obligation.
-
Our OptiLive health coordinator will work with you to help schedule your CCTA scan at one of our participating imaging centers. In most cases the process of obtaining the scan takes 1-2 hours. After you obtain the scan we will coordinate with the imaging center to have your images uploaded to Cleerly Health for artificial intelligence processing.
-
The health coordinator will help you schedule a telehealth session with your provider to review the results, typically about a week after you have had your scan. This session typically lasts about 30 minutes. During this session you will be able to see 3D pictures of your coronary arteries and detailed quantification of any atherosclerosis (build-up of plaque) and stenoses (narrowing) of the arteries. The implications and recommendations for follow up will be discussed.
-
You will be sent a copy of an extensive patient report, including detailed pictures of your coronary arteries, for your own records and to share with your primary care provider or cardiologist that will be involved in your follow up care.
What is a Heart Health Journey?
For the OptiLive Heart Health Journey our providers partner with the innovative technology company Cleerly Health and with a variety of high-quality imaging centers. Eligible patients receive a coronary computed tomography angiogram (CCTA) and the images are processed and interpreted using artificial intelligence by Cleerly Health. Our providers meet with patients via an initial telehealth session before the scan to review medical history, confirm interest and answer questions. After the images are processed our providers again meet with patients via a second telehealth visit to review the results and provide recommendations for follow up care.

Researchers increasingly recognize that atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) is a lifelong condition. Autopsy studies of people ages 16-20 that died from accidents or other non-cardiac causes have revealed as many as a third already showed some atherosclerotic plaques in their coronary arteries. But traditional medicine has tended to look at indirect measures of risk, such as elevated cholesterol, and has generally been conservative in using therapies to reduce atherosclerosis. As a result, many people don’t realize they have coronary disease until they develop symptoms, have a heart attack, or suffer sudden death.
-
Unlike simple calcium scores, the OptiLive Heart Health Journey and the Cleerly Analysis provide a detailed view of the actual amount of atherosclerosis in the entire coronary artery tree, including both soft and hard (calcified) plaque. This allows for subsequent decision making about treatments to be guided by accurate knowledge of risks and benefits instead of guessing around probabilities that may or may not apply to an individual.
Who is Eligible?
The OptiLive Heart Health Journey is available to almost all persons concerned about their risk of coronary heart disease. It can be especially valuable for individuals with a family history of heart conditions, or other risk factors such as high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure or a history of smoking.
-
It should be noted that traditional medical insurance does not typically cover the cost of this new technology, especially the Cleerly analysis with artificial intelligence. We have done everything we can to keep the cost reasonable given the extremely high value of the results. In some cases, health insurance will cover part of the cost of the process. Our staff can review this with you further in advance of your decision to proceed.
-
Some patients will have conditions that prevent them from being eligible for the journey, including atrial fibrillation or other cardiac arrhythmias, significant renal (kidney) disease, or a history of allergy to intravenous contrast dye as utilized for the scans. Our providers will review these contraindications at the time of the initial consultation.
HARD PLAQUE VS. SOFT PLAQUE
“Soft plaque, unlike hard plaque, is more prone to rupture due to its fatty and fibrous composition, making it a significant contributor to heart attacks. Hard plaque, often the core contributor to high cholesterol levels, tends to be more stable and less likely to cause immediate blockages. The danger of soft plaque lies in its ability to suddenly break apart and form a clot, leading to acute blockage of blood flow in the heart's arteries, which is the primary mechanism behind most heart attacks.
Thankfully, artificial intelligence and modern medicine allows us to specifically detect and intervene on high levels of soft plaque, ultimately saving lives.”
